Here at Chuggers we aim for excellence all year round. To be able to obtain excellent care we believe that working in partnership with parents and carers is at the centre of ensuring the welfare of the children.
For us to be able to provide a high standard of care, we believe it is essential to obtain as much information about a child before the child starts. To ensure this we would ask you to fill in a 'settling in' form prior to the child's start date. We then offer you 2-3 settling in sessions, which allows the parent/carer to attend nursery with the child for an allocated period of time to help the settling in process. Please be aware that this is permitted currently due to guidelines.
Each child is given a personal key worker and a learning journey. This allows the parent to discuss any issues or concerns with the key worker or the nursery manager effectively.
An Online Learning Journey forms a story of the development steps each individual child takes. The journey is accessible to parents/ carers at all times through the Tapestry app on your phone, or through 'tapestryjournal.com'.
As of 2019, ParentMail was introduced to the nursery to improve the communication between the nursery, parents and staff. At least one parent/carer per child should have an activated ParentMail account so you can receive updates on emergency closures, events, updates etc.
At Chuggers we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework (EYFS) for your information we have attached a copy of the framework designed for parents/ carers. Click image.
